The Grant Street Substation project is underway with site development work occurring at 289 N. Grant Street. This project addresses our electric infrastructure needs with the replacement of the Consumers Energy substation.

Due to recent enhancements to the Emergency Warning System, tornado siren testing will now occur year-round, every Saturday at noon, conducted by Ionia County Central Dispatch, except in the case of severe weather.

If you hear the tornado siren at any other time, it indicates that a tornado warning has been issued for our area, and you should seek shelter immediately.

If you are experiencing a power outage or problems with your water or sewer services, please call 888-495-5199.

If you observe damage to city infrastructure including but not limited to damage to electrical infrastructure, water infrastructure, sewer system infrastructure, roads or streetlights please call 888-495-5199.

 Emergency Electrical Event:

If you observe an emergency electrical event that poses and immediate risk to life or property (downed power line, electrical fire, exposed live wires, etc.) please call 911.
