The City Water Dept. will conduct its semiannual preventative maintenance program on the water system by systematically flushing all fire hydrants.
Flushing is scheduled for September 22 - October 3.
Flushing helps keep the water system safe and reliable by removing sediment and debris, improving overall water quality, and ensuring that fire hydrants are in proper working order.
It's common to notice rusty or discolored water after flushing. Please check your tap water before doing laundry and let it run until it clears before use.
